25th August 2008 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 25-12 knots Surf / Sea State: 2 foot surf Air Temperature: 17ºC Sea Temperature: 16ºC Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Plenty of wind when I went over to check it 25 knots and a little more at times so took my small wave board and 5m across along with my big wave-board and 5.6m in case it dropped off. Got back to the beach and it didn't seem quite as windy so starting rigging my 5m and big board, but the wind seemed to ease off even more so stopped rigging the 5m and went with the 5.6m instead. Glad I did as once on the water it was only just enough. I was able to get out the back and make grouns upwind but I wasn't exactly maxed out. After a little bit of this the wind eased off even more so I sat on the beach and waited. The wind didn't come back so I packed up and headed home... maybe it will fill in a gain later but the weather staion is only showing an average windspeed of 8 knots at the mo. OK for a while but nothing great. |
